January 2015 5th January: First, our congratulations to Vic Cook Sensei, Shin Bu Kan Kancho, on being awarded the rank of Kyoshi.
Second, this evening sees the restart of training sessions at the St Mary's Island dojo following the Christmas/New Year break. Thursday evening classes resume on 8th January.

3rd January: The dojo has closed it's class at The Park Club and has started classes at The Old School Community Centre in Burham village. Classes are on Thursdays and start at 9pm for two hours until 11pm.
From January the dojo's pricing system for classes is changing. There will be a £35 per month fee which covers all classes (Mondays and Thursdays). This fee should be paid by standing order and further details will be passed to students in due course.
February 2014

7th February: Due to matters beyond the dojo's control it has not been possible to open the planned training session at Burham. Instead a new session has started on Fridays at The Park Club, Walderslade Road, Chatham ME5 0LU. Classes will start at 7:15pm and run until 8:45pm. Prices per session will be £7.00 for Park Club members and £10.00 for non-members.


December 2013

2nd December: The dojo will be opening a Thursday evening class from January 2014 at Burham Village Hall. This replaces the Friday class previously held at Rochwood and the temporary arrangement held at Gillingham.

The dojo's registration with the BKA for 2014 has gone through. Dojo members whose BKA membership expires on 31/12/13 should be receiving an email re. individual membership renewal.

March
2013

6th March: The dojo is currently putting together an iaido beginners course. Details are yet to be finalised but as things develop further information will be posted here.

February 2013 16th Feb: Last night it was found out that the Rochwood Club's last night of opening would be Sunday 17th February and that the dojo would no longer be able to use the hall after that date. Progress is being made in finding a new location for an 'end of week' training session. Further information will be given here when matters have been finalised and/or be obtained from Tony Devine.
  Due to the Rochwood Club being closed from early March, we are currently seeking a new venue for Friday evening training. Once this has been arranged the website will be updated.
